]]>The set consists of the brick tree that has 16 hanging holders on which you can hang miniature family photos. The tree is resting on a base that can be covered with flower or grass elements. The base has a hidden compartment with various figurines, ranging from binoculars and a kite to food elements, which can be used to give the tree a personal touch.
Family Tree set was conceived by LEGO Ideas user Bulldoozer, who took inspiration from a tree-like mural their family built.
“Our tree started out as a fun, little project that got everyone in our clan to contribute pictures,” said Bulldoozer. “Over time, it has grown and sprouted new branches with each new member. It has become a ‘living’ map of our ancestry and the stories we share with our kids and grandkids … ‘Your Family Tree’ will give you and your loved ones the perfect canvas to build, map, and grow your own tree.”
Family Tree set is already available for pre-order on LEGO’s official website. It comes with a price tag of $79.99.
LEGO Ideas is a program set up by LEGO in which users submit their own set of ideas. If the ideas get enough likes from the community, they then undergo an extensive review from the company and, if approved, get a limited release.

The figurines that Minimaus Crafts makes are impressively detailed. Take his soda can Iron Man, for example. He managed to faithfully replicate Marvel superhero’s armor and mask while even including movable limbs.
Minimaus Crafts shares his finished works on social media while also providing videos on YouTube that take the viewers behind the scenes of his process. Most videos also contain templates, allowing others to replicate his figurines.
“I created crafts for fun, to educate as well as to entertain, but later on, it became my passion and part of my life,” the artist shares in his YouTube bio.

]]>Gordieiev recently decided to build a bike with square wheels. And his creation is not only for showing off since it is fully functional, according to a video posted on his social media.
Gordieiev revealed more details about this intriguing project in a video posted on his YouTube channel The Q. He started by building a square steel frame for the wheels from scratch. He then covered it with rubber-covered chains that are responsible for the movement of the wheel. The last step was to fit the wheels on a bike frame and take them for a ride.
“Please meet almost normal bicycle but with one modification – square wheels! This concept is fully working, and you can ride and make turns. Creating and installation square wheels on bicycle has been one of the most craziest projects we’ve ever built. Lots of attention guaranteed,” shared Gordieiev about the project.
We don’t know about you, but we would definitely want to take Gordieiev’s bike for a spin (or a glide).

It turned out that social media users liked them very much, prompting the artist to start a series titled “Medieval Branding.”
“I’ve been designing, illustrating, and especially logo-making for a long time, and I realized that I can combine the work that I love and the atmosphere of the Middle Ages,” Stallone told My Modern Met in a recent chat.
So far, Stallone has turned back the clock and then some on logos of McDonald’s, Rolex, Tinder, Facebook, and more. In each of these works, Stallone employs various medieval elements like items, mythology, and outfit from the era but also keeps the basics of the design that make the logo recognizable.

]]>Creating under the moniker Lusty Byte, Pidjass uses midjourney to create complex designs of the human heart. They are inspired by all sorts of different subjects, from steampunk to fairytales, and characterized by intricate details that include jewelry, mechanical parts, plants, and even animals, among others.
In the words of Pidjass, these intriguing artworks are based on the notion that every heart has its own personality.
“The heart speaks a powerful language that is felt, not spoken. Some hearts are wise, their atriums protected by marble leopards and ventricles of gold. Some are crowned by unicorns with hoofs encased in crimson arteries. Other hearts emit the colors of an enchanted forest from their valves,” states the Lust Byte official website.
While AI is responsible for bringing his ideas to reality, Pidjass prefers to be one that puts the final touch on each heart. Using Photoshop, he refines the AI-produced image until it appears to his liking.
Pidjass produces various art pieces using his AI hearts, including paper and canvas prints, which can be purchased from his official website. He also regularly shares the newest designs on social media.

]]>Designer Radhika Dhumal seems to have managed to find that sweet spot between elegance and practicality with her furniture designs. A perfect example is the butterfly-inspired table she named Elytra.
The small coffee table has been designed to mimic the wing spread of a butterfly. At first sight, it is just a table with a slightly oval shape and not too much space. However, once you spread the table wings, you get an entirely different look with additional room for your needs.
Dhimal shared in a recent chat with the Colossal that she came up with the idea while trying to work out a concept that revolved around Matryoshka dolls.
“None of the forms clicked with me, and I randomly scribbled to go beyond the imaginary box that I was restrained to,” she shared. “It was almost like a ‘Eureka!’ moment for me, as I could see a hidden form of wings opening up.”
Besides this genius table, Dhumal also designed various other impressive furniture pieces like stools and chairs. Her works earned numerous recognitions, including an ADI Furniture Design Winner award in 2020.

]]>Gyuhan Lee is a Korean artist and designer who found a great use for McDonald’s paper bags—he utilizes them to craft lamps. And they look so stylish that you will probably like them even if you are not a fan of the fast-food chain.
In a recent chat with designboom, Lee shared that the idea for these unique lamps came to him when he would get food deliveries from McDonald’s while working long hours in the studio. He made design sketches and outlines of the project but didn’t get around to turning it into reality until recently.
Waiting for his flight back home after a trip to Japan, Lee was reminded of his idea while passing by a McDonald’s restaurant at the airport. The staff was kind enough to provide him with some complementary paper bags, and he got to work once he arrived home.
His McDonald’s lamps look great but also seem like they could be practical. The nature of the paper used for the bag results in a warm light and tones down its intensity. Still, the artist is yet to decide whether they will be made available for purchase.

Jen handmakes each vase on a miniature potter’s wheel, using either stoneware, porcelain, or earthenware. They’re between 1cm and 2.5 cm tall and can be bought as a set or on their own.
