The post Dolaana Davaá is Pushing Boundaries With Her Melting Paintings appeared first on 5dwallpaper.com.
]]>Davaá is a Tuvinian artist based in Milan, who mastered several painting and sculptural methods after moving from Russia to Italy to study at the Italian Arts Academy of Brera in Milan. She gained a new appreciation for Italian Renaissance paintings during her studies and came up with a creative way to put a twist on some of her favorites.
She started working on her signature “liquid paintings”, which are inspired by her longing to destroy and melt down her artistic academic formation to make room for contemporary art.
“The main topic of artwork is to rethink the canons of old art, forcing the picture to melt or make the classic art objects of simple decoration. My creations combine ideas, desires and inspirations of my inner child with my adult aesthetic and significant view,” she writes on her official website.
Some of Davaá’s melting paintings are her own designs, while others pay homage to famous works of art. We’ve seen her put her own twist on “Ophelia” by John Everett Millais, “Madonna della Seggiola” by Raffaello, and “The Last Day of Pompeii” by Karl Bryullov, among many other works.

]]>The post Trevor Carlee is Using LEGO to Recreate Iconic Movie & TV Scenes appeared first on 5dwallpaper.com.
]]>Carlee is a talented multimedia artist, who mostly focuses on 3D animation these days. He came up with a creative way to improve his skills as an animator outside of industry restrictions or constraints when he decided to make LEGO an essential part of his artistic process.
He usually designs textures, torsos, and faces of his LEGO characters in Photoshop and Procreate before animating them with Blender. Animating with LEGO is a time-consuming process, but it’s proven to be a great testing ground for real animation because the stiffness of characters leaves less room for mistakes.
Completing a single video can take between a day to a week, depending on how long and complex the scene is. When it comes to choosing the scenes he’s going to work on, it comes down to what he’s in the mood for and how much time he has at his disposal.
Despite getting many requests, Carlee tries to focus on his favorite TV shows and movies to avoid burnout, ranging from Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Brooklyn Nine-Nine to New Girl and Parks and Recreation.

]]>Lupita Nyong’o’s fear of cats almost cost her the role in A Quiet Place: Day One, but she did everything in her power to overcome it. Her character in this film tried to survive the apocalypse alongside her cat Frodo, while the Oscar winner conquered her fear of felines and later decided to adopt a rescue cat of her own.
Deadpool & Wolverine featured more amazing cameos than we can count, and one of its most memorable guest stars was a British pup named Peggy. She was an Instagram sensation even before being cast as Dogpool, thanks to winning the competition for Britain’s ugliest dog last year.
Glen Powell’s dog Brisket was such a major part of the promo tour for Twisters that we’ve expected to see him in this movie, but he never showed up on screen. Despite not being in the movie, Brisket brought the film’s cast closer together and took the world by storm once this blockbuster hit the theaters.

]]>The post Adam Douglas Thompson’s Simplistic Comics are Hilarious appeared first on 5dwallpaper.com.
]]>Thompson, who is perhaps best known for his contributions to the Daily Cartoons section at The New Yorker, creates simplistic comics that go straight to the point and are hilarious. Most of Thompson’s comics are black and white, feature minimalistic drawings, and just one line of text. But that is more than enough for him to deliver his social media followers plenty of laughs.
In order for simplistic comics to work, they have to start with a great idea. For Thompson, finding those ideas isn’t a process set in stone. He employs all sorts of techniques, including meditation and looking through “random” images and words until he finds something that piques his interest.
“I keep a note on my phone of thousands of fragments of ideas, and another note where I polish those fragments into fully-fledged ideas,” he shared in a recent chat with Bored Panda. “I find that you really can’t force ideas – you have to just spend a lot of time in a deliberately receptive state of mind, and allow them to come.”

“My comics are largely inspired by my struggles as a parent, my fascination with technology, science and all things geeky,” Gordon shares on his website.
Gordon decided he would become a cartoonist while he was in kindergarten, and according to him, “so far, things are working out okay.” He has an impressive social media following, including 357K followers on Instagram, and has published four Fowl Language books to date: The Struggle Is Real, Welcome to Parenting, Winging It: The Art of Imperfect Parenting, and Tweenage Wasteland. ]]>Gudim is a Russian artist and illustrator who attracted almost two million followers across two Instagram accounts with his two-panel comics. He’s the master of dark humor, and his illustrations portray modern society in all of its absurdity.
Gudim enjoyed drawing from a young age, but he didn’t pursue art academically. Following graduation, he started working as an engineer, but something wasn’t clicking even after he changed a few jobs, so he decided to return to drawing.
Artists often deal with a creative block, but Gudim is yet to run into this problem. He doesn’t struggle finding inspiration for his work, and he’s seeing things he could draw on every turn.
“I am not doing anything on purpose. I am not out for a ‘safari’ with a camera on people to see them in their habitat… As soon as I started the ‘Yes, But’ project, I began to notice examples of this format literally everywhere. So I just live and take notes,” he told Bored Panda.

]]>Orel recently shared details about FUTUREAHEAD on Behance and social media, and it is safe to say that the project has intrigued a lot of people.
Orel’s headphones come equipped with small digital screens that light up when the users put them on and can project all sorts of multimedia content. It can be the artwork of the album you’re listening to, song lyrics, artist’s photos, or simply a slideshow of images that correspond to the music you enjoy.
Of course, the functionality of the headphones also plays a big part, with Orel designing a comfy fit for the ears and an adjustable headband.
“The design takes inspiration from retro headsets, which typically featured a stylish and nostalgic aesthetic,” Orel said about her headphones. “My design task was to combine the retro look with modern technology, and at the same time it was important to emphasize the functionality of the headphones.”
The FUTUREAHEAD headset is currently in the design phase, but we can’t see a reason why such a cool idea wouldn’t become a reality.

Despite working within a limited space, Ambarzumjan manages to encase vivid sights of rocky beaches, lush green forests, and snow-covered mountains in the brushstrokes. They are placed on a starry black background, giving them an illusion of traveling through a vast space.
“The nature around us is so colorful yet different wherever we are on this planet. It’s hard to believe that all this originated from nothing but dust in outer space,” he explained in an interview with My Modern Met.

The illustrated journal she kept during her travels was the catalyst of her creative journey. She used it to chronicle her inner experiences, and later started creating art “inspired by the magic of life and the human spark of love and creativity” and opened an Instagram account to share it with a larger audience.
Three years down the road, Bochis has over 700,000 Instagram followers under her belt. She also opened an official web shop where she’s selling the prints of her most popular illustrations.
Bochis is also a published author, and her book The Sun, the Sea, and the Stars features some of her best work in one place.
