It’s only been three years since Iulia Bochis’ started sharing her art on Instagram, but that didn’t stop her from becoming one of the most popular illustrators on this social media platform. Her illustrations are vibrant and insightful, and they’ll inspire you to find your own path in life.
Bochis lives in Switzerland, but she’s originally from the Romanian city of Cluj-Napoca. She spent most of 2019 living and traveling around Asia, and fell in love with art during this time.
The illustrated journal she kept during her travels was the catalyst of her creative journey. She used it to chronicle her inner experiences, and later started creating art “inspired by the magic of life and the human spark of love and creativity” and opened an Instagram account to share it with a larger audience.
Three years down the road, Bochis has over 700,000 Instagram followers under her belt. She also opened an official web shop where she’s selling the prints of her most popular illustrations.
Bochis is also a published author, and her book The Sun, the Sea, and the Stars features some of her best work in one place. Penguin Random House described it as a vibrantly illustrated book, which will inspire you to “trust the process, find comfort in new beginnings, and reflect on the beauty and magic that exists in the world around you.”
