]]>Christine’s floral paintings attracted over 100,000 people to her TikTok and around 50,000 more to her Instagram page, but painting wasn’t always her biggest passion. She initially started her creative journey with completely different materials – buttercream and sugar paste.
“Five years ago I made my sister’s wedding cake. It was weeks’ worth of work designing and planning and it was gobbled up in about 45 minutes. I wanted to create on a canvas something that kept the look and feel of cake,” she explains on her official website.
After deciding to focus on the floral art that lasts, Christine quickly realized it takes much more effort to work with acrylic paint than with buttercream and fondant, but that didn’t stop her from giving it a shot.
Her thick-painted florals became a huge sensation thanks to their detailed, textured look, and she even offers workshops on her website for everyone who wants to learn the secrets of her craft, even if they have no painting or piping experience.

Lemon rediscovered her passion for miniature art during this time, using everything from clay, wood, and paper to build tiny homes filled with miniature houseplants.
“I really wanted to do something creative so I decided to play around with air-drying clay in my drawer. I am a crazy collector of houseplants and I tried to make my dream mini home full of them,” she told Mirror.
Lemon’s fantasy miniature homes are filled with vintage furniture and appliances, but there’s a reason why none of them is complete without plants. The beauty of nature has always been her main source of inspiration, and her miniature art allowed her to explore it through a whole new medium.

]]>One of them is Japanese designer Takahiro Miyashita, who recently presented a speaker inspired by the Flatiron Building. The HIFI speaker stands at 43 inches and represents an intriguing take on the building’s look.
Miyashita’s creation shows the Flatiron Building wrapped in concrete, which is eroding in order to reveal its look. The body of the speaker is made out of polycarbonate composite resin and boosts a monochromatic color palette.
When it comes to specs, users can expect seven built-in speaker units that deliver 110 decibels. Included are two woofers, two mid-range drivers, three tweeters, and a sound transducer.
Miyashita released the Flatiron Building speaker through his label TAKAHIROMIYASHITATheSoloist. in limited batches. The release included a special event in which Miyashita himself selected 27 songs that were played on the speaker in the store in which it was available. A single speaker retailed for a price of $6,735, but that didn’t stop the first two batches from being sold out in late 2023. More units are expected to be available at some point this year.

Ingravalle’s illustrations have been exhibited in art galleries and featured in a number of publications. He also collaborated with a number of high-profile brands through his Maivisto Studio, including Adidas, Marvel, ESPN, National Geographic, and Peugeot.

In his captivating illustrations, these superheroes look, act, and feel like they belong to the world we live in. “More than drawing, I love telling stories through drawings, that’s why I decided I wanted to make comics. Even when I draw a single illustration, the narrative is my favorite element,” explained Picolo in a recent chat with Bored Panda.
Picolo’s recognizable works have not only captured the attention of social media users but also companies that hired him for various projects. DC Comics especially took note of his work based on their characters and recruited him to contribute to new Teen Titans editions.
So far, Picolo contributed artwork to three DC’s graphic novels: Teen Titans: Beast Boy, Teen Titans: Raven, and Teen Titans: Beast Boy Loves Raven. He also created the cover for Teen Titans: Raven.

]]>Ganji, who is based in Berlin, Germany, specializes in single-line tattoos. He creates both minimalistic and complex tattoo designs, but what they all have in common is that they are made without breaks. His works range from simple geometrical shapes to portraits, animals, and even landscapes.
“Everything here comes from the same energy. If I die, I become a tree, and the bird eats the tree, and it becomes me. Everyone is one. One continuous energy that just goes and goes and goes,” Ganji explained his decision to focus on single-line tattoos in an interview with The Washington Post.
Besides a unique approach to tattooing, Ganji also has an interesting way of coming up with tattoo designs. He first creates a drawing in a single motion on a piece of paper without even looking. Only after it’s done he looks at the paper and refines it into its final form.
Ganji, who quit a career in retail to become a tattoo artist, works out of his studio in Berlin. However, his clients come from all corners of the world, with some people willing to get his tattoo designs even if he isn’t the one doing the actual tattooing. ]]>Because her process was laborious and time-consuming, Bogonovich decided to develop a technique in which she creates smaller molds using various objects and forms. After the molds are finished, she is able to cast different shapes quickly and attach them to the sculpture.
The adjustments not only allowed the artist to work more quickly but also “heightened the oddball-ness of the compositions.” The unpredictable nature of the glazing process also results in unusual and unnatural colors, adding another layer to the whimsicality of the pieces.
“My instinct as an artist is to work with multiple parts, many bits and pieces, organized intuitively,” Bogonovich shares. “Repetitive additions often result in decorative and embellished surfaces. I like to work in groups and consider the individual pieces to be part of a fluid whole.”

Season 6 of Black Mirror was released in June and featured an ensemble cast that included Salma Hayek, Michael Cera, Aaron Paul, Josh Hartnett, and Kate Mara, among others. The new episodes were met with critical acclaim and were among the most-streamed content on the platform.
