]]>According to Holliday, her messages are aimed at other women, encouraging them to tap into what she calls their “God-given gifts.” And with an impressive following on Instagram, women (and men), are clearly tapping in.
“From a young age, I would sketch comic strips and draw people,” recalled Holliday in an interview with Freelance Wisdom, describing her creative upbringing. “I never took it too seriously until after I finished college with a degree in marketing,” she notes. “I decided that I wasn’t really doing what I loved to do, and then after the birth of my first child, I got an insane passion to go for what I always dreamed of.”
Art started taking root again in her heart, and Holliday listened. “I started sketching illustrations and sharing them online,” she says. “At a really wild time, I was pregnant with my second child, I decided to take the leap to freelance and it’s been a thrilling, fulfilling, and adventurous ride,” she adds.

]]>Aside from a buzzing online presence, her projects include book illustrations, textile and print licensing, stationery collections, and writing pieces about mental health and emotional well-being.
“I am interested in exploring the intricacies of human connection, and I use my work to unearth the small yet vibrant stories found in everyday life,” wrote Patel on her website. ”Like you, I have many worlds inside of me. I am sensitive but tough. I am pragmatic but free. I am a dreamer. I hope my work will always serve as a simple reminder: you are not alone.”
“What you can control lies within yourself: your thoughts and attitudes, your wishes and desires, and the perspective you choose to live by,” she added in a later interview with Freelance Wisdom. “We often blame our fear for keeping us from moving forward, but it’s our perspective of fear that truly holds power—it can imbibe us with strength and courage, or it can slowly destroy us.”
According to her, “if you believe that everything that happens to you holds a lesson, you’ll be better equipped to find the lesson and learn from it. If you believe that there is purpose and meaning in difficult, you’ll find beauty in the obstacles you face.”
If those words alone don’t encourage you to take that leap of faith, her Instagram page might do.

]]>The post Ilana Griffo’s Typography Art is Simply Delightful appeared first on 5dwallpaper.com.
]]>“As a graphic designer, typography has been a passion of mine as long as I can remember,” said Griffo in an interview with Hand Lettering for Beginners. “I used to write, and rewrite my class notes until they were as close to perfect as possible. I learned so much about the art of type as a design student, and I interned at a letterpress studio to learn more about the origin of type. I wanted to learn more about hand lettering because I knew it would bring a unique and personalized touch to the work I was doing with my design clients.”
But what began as a simple intention to learn more about hand lettering, spiraled into a blossoming career. “I took the class as a creative outlet,” she says. “While it related directly to the work I do daily, it was a step away from the computer, a new challenge. I was excited to have some direction, and someone to inspire and motivate me.”
Her playful, and visually tasteful designs will inspire you to get going. It’s that motivational boost you didn’t even know you were looking for. “I love that each person’s lettering style is a reflection of themselves,” says Griffo. “That’s what makes it so unique – your personal touch.”

]]>Her path to healing isn’t as hard as it may seem at first. Sharing quotes and mantras that are sometimes scribbled on tiny notes, she explores the way journaling can help you understand yourself better. She also teaches workshops and retreats centered around assisting others in finding their voices through storytelling, poetry, and narrative writing rooted in truth without shame.
“For me, self-care teaches that I can pour into myself just as much as I pour into others,” Elle explained in an interview with Hello Giggles. “In fact, it means that in order to put the most love and care towards others that I can, I must take care of myself first.” A simple truth but one that is powerful and most often forgotten.
“A lot of people believe that self-care has to be expensive and lavish, but it doesn’t,” she stresses. “It can mean something as simple as making sure that you take five minutes to decompress every day. Take time to breathe. We are moving so quickly that sometimes we don’t even realize we’re breathing! Remember to be here and be present—that’s a non-negotiable for me. It really is amazing what taking five minutes—or whatever you can spare—just to be present can do for the rest of your day.”
Take a breather.
