Japanese artist Koji Kasatani made a name for himself thanks to his quirky and unusual sculptures. He uses all sorts of materials for his work including worn-out shoes, used books, rusted iron pipes, and garbage while being inspired by his surroundings and scenes from everyday life.
While Kasatani presented lots of impressive works in the past, his most famous creations are definitively his banana sculptures. These sculptures feature ceramic versions of bananas in different stages of decomposition, forming different shapes and scenes.
Kasatani became so skillful in depicting bananas with ceramics, that most people think his sculptures are made out of real bananas, which makes them even more impressive. Check out some of his works below.
