]]>In 2016, she started sharing her marvelous talent with the world, bringing humor to the streets with the power of her art. Using street items such as grids, pebbles, cracks on the wall, and much more, Lyon is becoming more vivid and colorful thanks to her.
The France-based Morin said in a statement for Instagram that she thinks she might suffer from pareidolia: a psychological phenomenon where a specific, often meaningful image is perceived in a random or ambiguous visual pattern.
“I love having fun, playing, and seeing life on the bright side,” Morin shared. However, she also expressed her misfortune that people are always in a hurry and can’t enjoy the things that are around them. “People are generally rushing all the time. I love to take my time and look deeply at everything. I observe a lot and notice small details. My brain is always on.”

]]>“Interestingly when I create a still image, I always imagine the motion of it,” Cen recounted in an interview with Tiny Pencil, where he explained the ways in which his animation informs his illustration work and vice versa. “But when we come to the difference between them, I would say making an animation is more of the montage of a series of images no matter if they move or not,” he went on to explain. “Because the montage itself is the main movement of a film. When I am working on a drawing, I also think about the movement. Composition does create movement as well. But it would be the movement within the image itself only.”
Born in Guangzhou, China, Cen received his MFA in Illustration degree from Maryland Institute College of Art in 2013, and is currently based in New York where his work has received much praise both online and offline. With recognition from The Society of Illustrators, American Illustration, 3×3 Illustration Competition, amongst others, his illustrations are constantly featured in publications like The New York Times, The Washington Post, and The Boston Globe.
“I tend to create an atmosphere in my work,” he notes. “And the characters (if a piece has characters) naturally react to the atmosphere I create.” You’d want to engage with his work as well.

]]>The post Susete Saraiva Makes Tiny, Spooky Miniatures appeared first on 5dwallpaper.com.
]]>According to Saraiva, she enjoys most creating miniature representations of houses seen in horror movies. “I love the idea of taking some of my favorite homes and bringing them to life in miniature form to display,” she told The Daily Mini. “They are also my most challenging pieces, which in the end gives me the most satisfaction when finally complete.”
Like most miniature artists, Saraiva’s fascination with tiny figurines began early on. “I’ve been collecting 7′ figures for years, and with that I began doing toy photography for fun,” she notes. “That hobby slowly led me to the idea of creating miniature props and scale backgrounds/dioramas for more realistic photos. From that point on, I found that my love for miniatures was growing daily and this inspired me to take my ideas down a few scales.”
But surprisingly enough, she admits to being equally fascinated with horror films as a small child. “My love with horror definitely began around the age of 5, when I snuck into the living room while The Exorcist was on TV,” she recalls. “My fascination overpowered the fear I felt at the time which slowly turned into an obsession: the thrill of being frightened.”
Enjoy some of her work in the gallery below. Either that or prepare to be spooked.

]]>But whether it’s a large-scale public mural on the streets of NYC, a marker scrawling on a Uniqlo t-shirt, or a post on Instagram, Goodman wants his words to pack a punch – hoping to spark dialogues surrounding difficult subjects such as heartbreak, politics, and mental health.
“I just want to create art that people can connect to,” he admitted in a candid interview with Eye on Design. “With so many of the stories I’m trying to tell, I’m trying to make things for actual people. I think sharing your personal stories is sort of activism; when you connect to other lonely people in the world, I think there’s a service involved that is really powerful. I want to continue to use my work as a vehicle for that.”
According to Godman, the greatest joy in being an artist is the ability to connect to other humans emotionally through his work and words. “If I can’t connect to someone seeing my work on an emotional level, then I don’t know why I’m doing it,” he says. “How do you interact with a great film or a great book or a great album? You’re connecting with it emotionally.”
With almost 170k followers on Instagram, people seem to be connecting. And it’s not only people who hear him out. His clients also include giants like Google, Samsung, Uniqlo, Target, Airbnb, Netflix, and The New Yorker. Take a look for yourself:

]]>The Madrid-based street artist recreates the works of Caspar David Friedrich, Johannes Vermeer, Enrique Simonet, and many more, painting them on walls of buildings and ruins, and allowing bypassers to enjoy them.
Cabanding art gives an idea on how famous paintings can fit into urban environments.
“The result is not only a painting that pretends to be a painting and a relationship with an environment,” says Cabanding, “it is also the action of taking the picture of the museum, stealing the image… and the sacrum of the institution to put it in another place, in a place where it is never seen or seen in a different way.”

]]>“The first idea was to paint a smiley. A very big smiley. Because I believe people become happier when they see a smiley every day. But this idea didn’t feel complete, it felt too simple,” he said.
“I studied the shape of the house and the location where this house stands in and suddenly the idea of making a huge bookcase hit me. I love making illusions on walls and I like to see smiles on people’s faces and this idea (I thought meanwhile) could bring all this together,” he continued.
We think this couldn’t have turned out better!
