]]>Penovac’s paintings have a captivating simplicity to them. The artist starts with a splash of ink or watercolor and then adds just a few notable features like whiskers, eyes, and ears. By doing so, he encourages viewers to observe the cats in all of their grace without focusing too much on details.
According to Penovac, he wasn’t always a big cat person until his kids brought a small kitten home, and it ended up growing into a beautiful black cat named Bossi. One day, he decided to make a watercolor painting of the cat and has been painting felines ever since.
“The cat’s soft fur, the graceful movements, and the flow of ink complement each other – you could say they are made for each other. It opened up a new world for me,“ Penovac explained in an interview with KatKin.
Penovac’s cat artworks have become quite sought-after in years since, making their way into private art collections all across the world. The artist also sells prints of his paintings while frequently sharing them on social media as well. Check out more of them below.

]]>While creating his sculptures, Sprigg doesn’t polish the metal and instead incorporates them in their original condition. This gives his works a steam-punk feel while also serving as a testament to the history of the material.
“The scrap iron sculptures are purposely left in their rusted state to highlight the age of the metal and the history of each piece,” it says on the artist’s website.
Sprigg started making metal sculptures after taking a break during his last year of studies and visiting his parents’ farm in Western Australia. Being always interested in art and fascinated by the animal world, he decided to use leftover metal from the family shed to make a pair of kangaroos.
Inspired by a successful project, Sprigg continued making animal sculptures out of metal, with his appetites becoming bigger and the word about his works quickly spreading. He was soon creating complex and large-scale sculptures, including a seven-foot-tall rhino and 10.5-foot-tall horse, which found their home in public spaces across Australia.

Bayley is a cross between a black miniature poodle (her dad) and an Old English sheepdog (her mom), while Snoopy has been described as a beagle on Peanuts’ official website.
Even though they’re completely different breeds, the two pups share many physical traits, including their black button nose, floppy ears, and sweet dark eyes. In addition to posing for photos, Bayley also enjoys eating treats and playing with toys. She’s currently getting ready to celebrate her second birthday, and funny captions on her Instagram page will give you an insight into her life.

]]>Scottish Fold Sponge Cake and British shorthairs Mocha and Donut live in New York with their owners, and they’ve only started exploring the world in recent years. Dan and Olivia Nguyen felt bad about leaving them at home because they were a part of the family, so they decided to bring them along.
Most people avoid traveling with cats because it seems pretty difficult, but Dan Nguyen claims that Sponge Cake, Mocha, and Donut aren’t giving them any trouble during their travels.
“They mostly just sleep on the plane. They’re all so relaxed and quiet. Sometimes, other passengers on the plane don’t even realize we have three cats with us. We started walking them around the resort grounds on their leashes and they got used to it pretty fast,” Nguyen told The New York Post.
Even though it seems they’re on the road all the time, the three kitties spend most of their time exploring the streets of the Big Apple. Their owners usually travel abroad twice a year, and they took them everywhere from Paris to Venice over the years, taking countless photos in videos for their 500,000 followers on Instagram and 700,000 on TikTok.

]]>Thomas works from her home studio in London, after getting a degree in illustration from Middlesex University in 2012. Even during her time at the university, Thomas was more interested in mixed media art, and needle-felting allowed her to explore it further.
“It wasn’t until afterwards that I discovered fibre art and the wonderful ability of wool to make my illustrated characters three-dimensional… As a child, I was forever drawing animals and imagining what they would be like if they could peel themselves from the paper. Now I know!” explains Thomas on her official website.
The process of needle felting involves stabbing at wool and catching fibers with needles from industrial felt-making machines. Once that’s done, the wool is transformed into all sorts of three-dimensional figures—quirky animals, in Thomas’ case.
Thomas finds joy in transforming a pile of fluff into animals that she summons from her mind. Her creations take shape of everything from cats and dogs to birds, bears, and even dinosaurs. In addition to making greeting cards with her quirky characters, she also served as the illustrator of the children’s book Dieses Buch ist LEER.
