]]>Verberne strongly challenges the misconception of make-up art not being an actual artwork by incorporating some of the world’s most iconic paintings into his look.
Using only make-up tools, this talented artist recreates the works of Leonardo da Vinci, Vincent van Gogh, and Gustav Klimt, among others on his body, while also turning the theme of the painting into stylish make-up routines.
What stands out with Verberne’s works is his attention to detail, proving that anything can be an art if you are talented enough.

]]>Raised in Southern California, Lottie displayed a strong creative flair for art and self-expression from a very young age. Upon completing her education in graphic design, she moved to London, England and quickly found work on a number of cutting edge projects. Breaking away from design a few years later, Lottie moved into what she considers her true calling.
She has since keyed fashion shows in New York, Milan, London, Miami, and Los Angeles and collaborated with giants like Beauty Blender, Urban Decay, Marc Jacobs Beauty, and Hermes. Sharing her time between LA and NY, among her celebrity clients are icons like Drew Barrymore, Karen O, Rihanna, and Emilia Clarke.
“I thrive on challenge — it’s more interesting to me,” said Lottie in an interview with Allure. “Some people like consistency and reliability, but I’m just the opposite… You can be an amazing makeup artist, but that doesn’t necessarily mean you’re going to be great at runway,” she explained. “For me, working in TV is not right. Doing bridal is not right. I actually need that stress!”

]]>Describing her creative process in an interview with Office magazine, Domonkos says: “It’s always different. Sometimes I already know what colors I want to use but I have no idea what shape to create, and sometimes it’s the other way round. I usually just sit down in front of my mirror, pick up a brush, and do whatever feels right at the moment.”
According to her, the makeup looks can be finished in anywhere between 5 minutes to a whole hour. “But I always love the process and take photos after every step because they might inspire me one day,” she says.
With icons such as David Bowie, Tilda Swinton, and Grimes, her creations are messy, abstract, and somewhat alien. “I’ve always had an obsession with eyes, I just think they are beautiful,” she says. “Since I was really young I always used to draw eyes all over my exercise books in school during my classes. Another reason is that my makeup looks are really ‘messy’ and all over the place so I want there still to be some kind of order.”

]]>But through hard work, and after studying art and fashion, she turned into a YouTube and Instagram sensation, teaching her many followers the art of being a French girl. “YouTube came around from a weird reaction I had,” she shared with the Pardon My French podcast.
“I woke up one morning and I always scroll down Instagram when I wake up after my meditations, and I was seeing all these tutorials and I thought, damn, I don’t relate to any of them. I am sure there are other women like me who don’t relate to all the contouring and all the makeup. It’s so pretty seeing a woman do her makeup, maybe there is something poetic about it.”
So right then and there she decided to open her YouTube channel, with her first clip showing how she does her makeup in the car. “They said they couldn’t because the lighting would be terrible and I said I don’t care because it’s real life,” she recalled.
“In France we learn how to take care of what we have, what Mother Nature gave us,” she adds, talking about her beauty regimen. “We don’t do blow dryers or crazy hair, but we’ll do an incredible conditioner and hair masks. We won’t do tons of treatments and filler but we will do a wonderful facial every week and eat healthy.”
