Traveling with pets isn’t an easy task, but one couple from New York is making it happen. Dan and Olivia Nguyen haven’t been everywhere, but it’s on their list – and their cats Sponge Cake, Mocha, and Donut are by their side every step of the way.
Scottish Fold Sponge Cake and British shorthairs Mocha and Donut live in New York with their owners, and they’ve only started exploring the world in recent years. Dan and Olivia Nguyen felt bad about leaving them at home because they were a part of the family, so they decided to bring them along.
Most people avoid traveling with cats because it seems pretty difficult, but Dan Nguyen claims that Sponge Cake, Mocha, and Donut aren’t giving them any trouble during their travels.
“They mostly just sleep on the plane. They’re all so relaxed and quiet. Sometimes, other passengers on the plane don’t even realize we have three cats with us. We started walking them around the resort grounds on their leashes and they got used to it pretty fast,” Nguyen told The New York Post.
Even though it seems they’re on the road all the time, the three kitties spend most of their time exploring the streets of the Big Apple. Their owners usually travel abroad twice a year, and they took them everywhere from Paris to Venice over the years, taking countless photos in videos for their 500,000 followers on Instagram and 700,000 on TikTok.
