Illustrator and designer Poppy Almond is all about cute. With a color palette that revolves around reds and pinks and themes that include food, animals, and a combination of the two, her creations are unapologetically girly.
“My favorite thing to illustrate is probably food. I kind of have an obsession with doodling sushi and strawberries (don’t ask me why),” she told the Ohh Deer blog, proving that much like her work, her conduct is very much cheerful.
“I literally get my inspiration from everywhere!” she added, “but mainly from things around me, food I’m eating, things I’ve heard that day or the contents of my shelves. Of course other amazing illustrators, things I’ve come across on Instagram and all the girl bosses around me give me so much inspiration.”
A girl-boss herself, Almond also runs an Etsy shop where she sells prints and cards of her illustrations, as well as friendship bracelets and other nostalgic trinkets.
