Illustrator Inspires Girls to Love Their Bodies

Being a teenager is never easy. As grown-ups, we tend to forget the struggles that used to consume us when we were younger but amazing young artists like Libby Phillips are here to remind us that we take the past with us everywhere we go.

Phillips is a body positive illustrator who creates cute images with important messages to girls and women everywhere. She wants to encourage every woman to know that no matter what she looks like, she is still good enough. And even in their worst days and worst moments, women should know that as long as they accept their limits and give their best, time will take care of things.

Her illustrations show things that glossy magazines simply refuse to acknowledge, meaning she how girls really look like, with messy hair, body hair, a few extra pounds, and a not-here-to-apologize attitude.

The goal of her Instagram account is to share love, acceptance, and understanding. But she doesn’t stop here. She also wants to help stray animals and children’s hospitals, and raise awareness for Sudan. Did we mention she is only 18 years old? The world needs more girls like Phillips, now more than ever.
