MakeGrowLab’s Compostable Packaging Joins the Biorevolution

Every fish in the sea knows how dangerous plastic can be. Its disposal is one of the hardest things for humanity, considering the fact that it can take up to 1000 years for a regular plastic bag to decompose. In fact, the very process of making plastic is harmful in and of itself. There are many good ideas at the moment, but it’s still very hard to find an alternative to plastic that has the same quality but is 100% eco-friendly.

MakeGrowLab is a step closer to this goal with their biodegradable products. They create plastic-free packaging made out of local agricultural waste that has two years of shelf life. The packaging, called SCOBY is compostable, water-insoluble and 100% free from plastic, and is created through a process that transforms biowaste into raw biomaterial.

SCOBY is implemented into a wide range of products, so you can buy a SCOBY tray, SCOBY bag, and even a SCOBY bowl. You can use them only once and throw them away without feeling any guilt because besides being completely compostable, these products also help regenerate soil!
