Go Green: These Buildings Take Notes From Mother-Nature Herself

Sustainable buildings are more than a trend for people in the Asia Pacific region. It is more or less an agenda, that help cities tackle the fast-rising and ever polluting urbanization process.

More than 60% of the population of the world lives in the Asia Pacific region, and up to 2 billion of these people live in urban areas. Some cities, such as Jakarta and Manila, are undergoing rapid growth since people and businesses flock to the regions. Buildings account for about 40% of the energy consumption of the world. This is leading to more emission of carbon dioxide.

Awareness of sustainability is critical. Since there is little if all space for parks, the region has started creating green buildings. The strong adopters of this idea include Japan, Singapore, and South Korea.
