Do you love mythological stories? What of ancient deities? Myths have always been fascinating as they provide a fantastical window to ancient history. Movies and artworks have made it possible to see just how our favorite mythological creatures look like.
Oliver Marinkoski is a multimedia artist creates marvelous 3D models of ancient deities and mythological creatures with a modern twist.
The idea behind his work was to recreate ancient Slavic gods as Roman sculptures, then ad some modern attributes to their supernatural abilities. For instance, the god of thunder got a broomstick. Marinkoski then went on to create other Roman and Hellenic counterparts.
With time, Marinkoski plans on recreating ancient Egypt gods. Check out his work in the gallery below!
