]]>Lupita Nyong’o’s fear of cats almost cost her the role in A Quiet Place: Day One, but she did everything in her power to overcome it. Her character in this film tried to survive the apocalypse alongside her cat Frodo, while the Oscar winner conquered her fear of felines and later decided to adopt a rescue cat of her own.
Deadpool & Wolverine featured more amazing cameos than we can count, and one of its most memorable guest stars was a British pup named Peggy. She was an Instagram sensation even before being cast as Dogpool, thanks to winning the competition for Britain’s ugliest dog last year.
Glen Powell’s dog Brisket was such a major part of the promo tour for Twisters that we’ve expected to see him in this movie, but he never showed up on screen. ]]>Brisket walked into Powell’s life while he was scrolling through Instagram while filming his latest box office hit. It was love at first sight, and Powell decided to take the weekend off filming to fly to Los Angeles and adopt Brisket from the Labelle Foundation.
It didn’t take long for Brisket to become an important fixture on the set of Twisters, and every member of the cast and crew immediately fell in love with him. He sat in Powell’s chair, bonded with his co-stars, and brought everyone on set closer together. Once it was time to promote the film, Brisket joined Powell during red carpet events, interviews, and photoshoots, becoming somewhat of a Twisters mascot.
Despite being an integral part behind the success of Twisters, Brisket doesn’t actually appear in the movie. His absence inspired many viral tweets, including “RELEASE THE BRISKET CUT” by X user @kelsospade and Matt Bellassai’s “The way [Glen Powell] brought this dog to every press event for Twisters… Imagine my surprise when little miss Brisket was not in the film for even one second.”
