]]> To set yourself apart in the see of Instagram food bloggers, you need a unique idea. Ideally, that’s something that will make your photos look distinctly different from the others, and this guy from India was lucky enough to have it happen by accident.

“My Yellow Plate was not intentional. I never planned that I would pick up a yellow plate and go out looking for food,” says Himanshu Sehgal, an engineer from Delhi. “One fine day in 2015, my mom served me Rajma Chawal on this yellow plate. No one knows where it came from, it was just there in the kitchen. I remember taking a picture of it and sharing it on my personal Instagram profile.”

“It wasn’t a great shot but it still clicked with the viewers, getting several likes and comments from friends and family,” he continues his story. “This was probably because most Indian households use either steel thalis or pastel-colored crockery and a bright yellow plate was conspicuous. Intrigued, I decided to carry the yellow plate along with me while traveling. Every time I would eat on it, I would share it with people and let them know what’s on my yellow plate.”

Champa Gali, as the locals call it, is the newly discovered street in the area that has become a preferred destination for start-ups, which are an assortment of art, culture, literature and music. . Kuldeep Singh (also known as Tau), a bus contractor and driver, was approached by a lot of entrepreneurs, all wanting to rent a piece of land he and his brothers own in Village Saidulajab in Saket. Khasra Number 258 – The Land which had cow shades and furniture shops, is now a fairy-lit lane Parsian Passageway with cafes, reading rooms, handicraft shops and design studios. The passageway is called Champa Gali, and do not be surprised if you have not heard of it. Even locals haven’t. Auto drivers will gawk at you if you mention Champa Gali– the Capital’s best kept secret. . This hidden place is perfect to chill with friends, read books or spend some time with your special one. Located in the tiny lanes of Chawri Bazaar, this iconic Kulfi shop was started by Pandit Kuremal 1908. He learned about Kulfi Making at the age of 14 from a Old Delhi Halwai and started selling Kulfi on a cart. Today, the Kuremal family owns two shops in Chawri Bazaar (located in the same lane). . You can find more than 30 varieties of fruit Kulfis, Tilla Kulfis and Stuffed Kulfis (The specialty of the shop). I highly recommend Jamun, Fruit Cream and Paan Kulfi. WHEN IN DRESDEN. @myyellowplate . Welcome to Dresden. Dresden is the capital city and, after Leipzig, the second-largest city of the Free State of Saxony in Germany. On the banks of the lovely Elbe River, the German city of Dresden is lush and green, filled with forests and gardens and parks. The city is rich with cultural and artistic history; the great operatic composer Wilhelm Wagner debuted a number of works here in the 1800s and, today, an independent light opera company keeps the classical art form modern and fresh. . In the picture is Dresden Frauenkirche. Germany’s most notable landmark, the Frauenkirche, has a history mirrored in its city. Constructed in the 18th century, the church was destroyed in the firebombing of Dresden during World War II. The reconstruction of the exterior was finally completed in 2004 and it now stands tall once again in the city. Around the Dresden Frauenkirche, you can find a lot of cafes and bar to grab a beer and snacks. I treated myself with the Fried Chicken Burger from Burgerei; one of the Best Places to eat Burger in Dresden. . Market Square, considered the heart of Leipzig, is popular with locals and tourists alike. Grab a beer and some snacks from one of the restaurants that line square, and take in the sights and sounds. WHEN IN MUMBAI. @myyellowplate . A visit to Mumbai is incomplete without visiting the Elephanta Caves and the Mumbai Vada Pav. . The Elephanta Caves are a  great tourist attraction in the vicinity of the large Mumbai meteropolis. The Elephanta island is located 10 km away from the Gateway of India at Mumbai. These caves house rock cut temples dating back to the 5th century CE. . The main Shiva-dedicated temple is an intriguing latticework of courtyards, halls, pillars and shrines; its magnum opus is a 6m-tall statue of Sadhashiva, depicting a three-faced Shiva as the destroyer, creator and preserver of the universe, his eyes closed in eternal contemplation. . It was the Portuguese who dubbed the island Elephanta because of a large stone elephant near the shore (this collapsed in 1814 and was moved by the British to Mumbai’s Jijamata Udyan). WHEN IN BERLIN. . HERE'S THE WORLD'S BEST DONER KEBAB ON MY YELLOW PLATE! WHERE DO YOU GET IT? READ ON. . Coming to Berlin and never eating doner kebab is a sin. Seriously, you can't miss it. These Turkish pseudo-sandwiches packed with juicy meat sliced from a vertical rotisserie are a treat for the taste buds. Seeing as the city is covered in more kebab shops than you can shake a skewer at, this is where you get the best one in the town and in the WORLD. Yes, you read it. . Mustafa's Gemuse Kebab Shop in Berlin serves the best Doner Kebabs in the World. . You might have to wait in line for 2 to 3 hours to get a kebab from this tiny street-side stand, but once you take the first bite, you'll understand why you did. Kebabs here are loaded with crispy chicken, fresh feta, and a secret ingredient that, undoubtedly, sets this place apart. One bite and you will know why it is the BEST DONER KEBAP in the world. I had to wait for straight 3 hours to get it on My Yellow Plate. . The big question: is it worth the wait? Yes it is. I had two of them and saved one for later. I am a fan of Mustafa Gemuse Kebab now and can't wait to get my hands back on it. . P. ]]> For Dennis Prescott, the road to realizing what he wanted to do in life wasn’t short. It took him 10 years as a musician until he realized that his favorite thing about van-life was to make food for others. Photography was just always kinda there and so, he finally took a leap and combined his two biggest loves.

“I became obsessed with cooking food, but more specifically feeding people. That specific aspect of orchestrating in dining, in the sense that you’re spending another hour at the table, I really wanted to invest in that as someone who lived on the road,” Prescott shared.

With a phone full of photos of delicious meals, it wasn’t long before he decided to start publishing them on Instagram. Today, he has nearly 500k followers and the number just keeps growing by the day.

]]> For Francseco Mattucci, there’s nothing fun about ordinary food photos. He’s on a mission to create a series of creative photos of various food and to have fun doing it.

“As for many things, the idea of Kitchen suspension Project came to me by chance, for reasons of time, family, needs, the kitchen is the area that I live the most,” Mattucci says. “I thought about talking of a physical place, in a simple way, and making its basic daily purpose, a set. But not a set where you cook, but where things that inhabit it, have a life of their own, almost as if they took a place of their own, a place of entertainment, of course.”

It’s not an easy work to do all this. “Obviously, to create these images, there’s a great work of post production,” he explains. “Every photograph has a different process behind it, that first of all, depends on the subject. What I can say is that every object that you see floating was captured in the exact spot it was.”

Champa Gali, as the locals call it, is the newly discovered street in the area that has become a preferred destination for start-ups, which are an assortment of art, culture, literature and music. . Kuldeep Singh (also known as Tau), a bus contractor and driver, was approached by a lot of entrepreneurs, all wanting to rent a piece of land he and his brothers own in Village Saidulajab in Saket. Khasra Number 258 – The Land which had cow shades and furniture shops, is now a fairy-lit lane Parsian Passageway with cafes, reading rooms, handicraft shops and design studios. The passageway is called Champa Gali, and do not be surprised if you have not heard of it. Even locals haven’t. Auto drivers will gawk at you if you mention Champa Gali– the Capital’s best kept secret. . This hidden place is perfect to chill with friends, read books or spend some time with your special one. Just grab a coffee, take a seat and chill for as long as you want and no one is going to bother. . Aur Chawri Bazaar ki galiyo mein ja ke Kuremal Mohanlal ki Kulfi nahi khayi…to kuch nahi khaya. . What's on my yellow plate? Jamun Kulfi, Paan Kulfi, Watermelon Kulfi and Fruit Cream Kulfi from Kuremal Mohanlal Kulfiwale, Chawri Bazar. Located in the tiny lanes of Chawri Bazaar, this iconic Kulfi shop was started by Pandit Kuremal 1908. He learned about Kulfi Making at the age of 14 from a Old Delhi Halwai and started selling Kulfi on a cart. Today, the Kuremal family owns two shops in Chawri Bazaar (located in the same lane). . You can find more than 30 varieties of fruit Kulfis, Tilla Kulfis and Stuffed Kulfis (The specialty of the shop). I highly recommend Jamun, Fruit Cream and Paan Kulfi. WHEN IN DRESDEN. @myyellowplate . Welcome to Dresden. Dresden is the capital city and, after Leipzig, the second-largest city of the Free State of Saxony in Germany. On the banks of the lovely Elbe River, the German city of Dresden is lush and green, filled with forests and gardens and parks. The city is rich with cultural and artistic history; the great operatic composer Wilhelm Wagner debuted a number of works here in the 1800s and, today, an independent light opera company keeps the classical art form modern and fresh. . In the picture is Dresden Frauenkirche. Germany’s most notable landmark, the Frauenkirche, has a history mirrored in its city. Constructed in the 18th century, the church was destroyed in the firebombing of Dresden during World War II. The reconstruction of the exterior was finally completed in 2004 and it now stands tall once again in the city. Around the Dresden Frauenkirche, you can find a lot of cafes and bar to grab a beer and snacks. I treated myself with the Fried Chicken Burger from Burgerei; one of the Best Places to eat Burger in Dresden. . WHEN IN LEIPZIG. #WheninLeipzig . A visit to Leipzig is incomplete without a visit to Leipzig Market Square and a delicious Himbeer Cheesecake (Raspberry Cheesecake) . Market Square, considered the heart of Leipzig, is popular with locals and tourists alike. Grab a beer and some snacks from one of the restaurants that line square, and take in the sights and sounds. The old town hall building is a particularly striking and is home to the city museum. The square's many charming shops are a good place to pick up souvenirs. . P. S When in Leipzig, Market Square is a must visit. WHEN IN MUMBAI. @myyellowplate . A visit to Mumbai is incomplete without visiting the Elephanta Caves and the Mumbai Vada Pav. . The Elephanta Caves are a  great tourist attraction in the vicinity of the large Mumbai meteropolis. The Elephanta island is located 10 km away from the Gateway of India at Mumbai. These caves house rock cut temples dating back to the 5th century CE. . The main Shiva-dedicated temple is an intriguing latticework of courtyards, halls, pillars and shrines; its magnum opus is a 6m-tall statue of Sadhashiva, depicting a three-faced Shiva as the destroyer, creator and preserver of the universe, his eyes closed in eternal contemplation. . It was the Portuguese who dubbed the island Elephanta because of a large stone elephant near the shore (this collapsed in 1814 and was moved by the British to Mumbai’s Jijamata Udyan). WHEN IN BERLIN. . HERE'S THE WORLD'S BEST DONER KEBAB ON MY YELLOW PLATE! WHERE DO YOU GET IT? READ ON. . Coming to Berlin and never eating doner kebab is a sin. Seriously, you can't miss it. These Turkish pseudo-sandwiches packed with juicy meat sliced from a vertical rotisserie are a treat for the taste buds. Seeing as the city is covered in more kebab shops than you can shake a skewer at, this is where you get the best one in the town and in the WORLD. Yes, you read it. . Mustafa's Gemuse Kebab Shop in Berlin serves the best Doner Kebabs in the World. . You might have to wait in line for 2 to 3 hours to get a kebab from this tiny street-side stand, but once you take the first bite, you'll understand why you did. Kebabs here are loaded with crispy chicken, fresh feta, and a secret ingredient that, undoubtedly, sets this place apart. One bite and you will know why it is the BEST DONER KEBAP in the world. I had to wait for straight 3 hours to get it on My Yellow Plate. . The big question: is it worth the wait? Yes it is. I had two of them and saved one for later. I am a fan of Mustafa Gemuse Kebab now and can't wait to get my hands back on it. . P. ]]> For Dennis Prescott, the road to realizing what he wanted to do in life wasn’t short. It took him 10 years as a musician until he realized that his favorite thing about van-life was to make food for others. Photography was just always kinda there and so, he finally took a leap and combined his two biggest loves.

“I became obsessed with cooking food, but more specifically feeding people. That specific aspect of orchestrating in dining, in the sense that you’re spending another hour at the table, I really wanted to invest in that as someone who lived on the road,” Prescott shared.

With a phone full of photos of delicious meals, it wasn’t long before he decided to start publishing them on Instagram. Today, he has nearly 500k followers and the number just keeps growing by the day.

]]> For Francseco Mattucci, there’s nothing fun about ordinary food photos. He’s on a mission to create a series of creative photos of various food and to have fun doing it.

“As for many things, the idea of Kitchen suspension Project came to me by chance, for reasons of time, family, needs, the kitchen is the area that I live the most,” Mattucci says. “I thought about talking of a physical place, in a simple way, and making its basic daily purpose, a set. But not a set where you cook, but where things that inhabit it, have a life of their own, almost as if they took a place of their own, a place of entertainment, of course.”

It’s not an easy work to do all this. “Obviously, to create these images, there’s a great work of post production,” he explains. “Every photograph has a different process behind it, that first of all, depends on the subject. What I can say is that every object that you see floating was captured in the exact spot it was.”
