When Stephanie Giordano decided to explore her passion for baking, she had no idea she’ll soon become a viral sensation. Her bakery Baked by Steph became a huge hit online, largely thanks to their perfectly decorated cookies, inspired by the celebrity culture.
Before finding success with her cookies, Giordano was working at a web design agency, but her life turned upside downs when baking became her after-work hobby.
“What had started as a hobby snowballed into a full-time job. At the end of 2018 I finally bit the bullet and officially traded in websites and project management for kitchen scales and cookie dough,” writes Steph on her official website.
After a while, she reached a point when baking up a storm from her tiny Camden flat and preparing 20 cookies at a time simply wasn’t enough. Her business was quickly expanding, so she decided to open up her own bakery in East London. She now works with a team of 15, and offers icing workshops, in addition to selling cookies, cakes, and macarons.
Giordano’s cookies came in all shapes and forms, but she draw everyone’s attention with her celebrity-inspired sweet treats. She often uses her cookie decorating skills to honor the iconic moments of her favorite celebrities, from Lizzo and Adele to Rihanna and Beyonce.
