Dinosaurs are Super Relatable in the “Dinos and Comics” Series

After watching countless Jurassic Park movies, we’ve got used to dinosaurs either fighting humans or each other, but Dinos and Comics takes a different approach to these ancient creatures. Comics in this series show dinosaurs in a relatable light and they’re often seen fighting their inner battles.

With 2.9 followers and counting, Dinos and Comics is one of the most popular series of illustrations on Instagram. It was created by a writer James and an artist who goes by K. With this comic series, they tried to answer one simple question that’s been on everyone’s mind—what would dinosaurs say if they were human?

James and K created hundreds of comics over the years and explored many topics, but there’s one that struck a chord with their followers—mental health. The duo even published two books on this subject matter—Dinosaur Therapy and Dinosaur Philosophy—showing the dinosaur trying to make a sense of the world around them.

Unlike real dinosaurs, the characters in their comics aren’t doomed. Despite dealing with many ups and downs, they’re constantly trying to see the world in a more positive light.

“We think there’s hopeful comics already. They are mostly focused on friends and loved ones because as helpful as [meds] can be, we think the support of those around you is key to coping with mental health issues,” the duo told Bored Panda.
