Danish Artist Builds Wooden Giants From Recycled Materials and Hides Them in Forests

Thomas Dambo is a 40-year-old artist living and working in Copenhagen, Denmark. He has been building things since he was little, and his passion has been growing since then. Nowadays, the artist, together with his team, creates projects from recycled materials they find around the city dumpsters.

In one of his latest project, Dambo started building giant wooden trolls and hiding them in forests all around the world.

“By doing this, I hope to lure people away from concrete cities and computer screens, into the wild and reconnect them with the natural world,” the artist shared on Bored Panda. “I build all my enormous sculptures of recycled materials to show the potential in this precious material, which is often discarded and becomes a threat to the natural world.”
