Couple Plants 2 Million Trees in Brazil to Tackle Deforestation

Brazilian photographer, Sebastio Selgado, and his wife have gone viral for their outstanding contribution to the environment. The amazing couple planted more than 2 million trees within a twenty-year period to fight deforestation in Minas, Brazil.

The picture below shows how deforestation had eaten deep into the land which was identified as his father’s farm. The planting process started at 2001 and as of today, the place turned into a beautiful forest.

Comparing the pictures, you can see how green and healthy the environment looks now. That singular act has been praised by people all over the world. It has also helped create more awareness for global warming. Hopefully, more people will show interest in the environment thanks to Selgado.
