Cat’s Café is the creation of illustrator Matt Tarpley that follows the story of Rabbit, Penguin, and other adorable animals from the animal kingdom. Being a heartwarming comic about a tiny cafe where all the local animals come to unwind, it touches topics like anxiety, diversity, and empowerment with a thoughtful touch.
“When you visit, you’ll meet characters like Rabbit, an anxious bunny who is doing their best to overcome their fears,” the artist shared on his personal website. “Penguin, the coffee addicted flightless bird, and of course, Cat, the owner of the cafe who helps others with their day-to-day troubles.”
According to Tarpley, the Cat’s Café is a place of understanding and acceptance where you can feel safe to be yourself.
“Created from a place of empathy, I set out to tell relatable stories with healthy and positive outcomes,” he added. “Knowing we all experience life in different ways, I felt it was important to define Cat’s Café as a comic that promotes acceptance and understanding. It’s a calming place where everyone can feel welcome, both the characters and the readers.”
