Norwegian baker Elise was still a teen when she started her food blog, but that didn’t stop her from becoming a true Instagram sensation. Her love for sourdough bread propelled her to internet fame, and she shared hundreds of delicious recipes since embarking on this journey.
The 22-year-old Elise is a self-taught baker and recipe developer from Norway, who embarked on a baking journey in 2017 when she discovered the magic of sourdough. After baking hundreds of breads in her small apartment, she decided to share her skills with the world and started her blog in 2018.
She initially wanted to share her baking journey with the people closest to her, but her Instagram page quickly grew and she’s now followed by 860,000 people on Instagram and 220,000 more on TikTok.
“It quickly expanded into more, and in 2021 we are a community consisting of hundreds of thousands of bread lovers from all around the world… My goal is to inspire others to go on their own, unique journey with sourdough baking,” Elise explains on her food blog.
Elise initially experimented with sourdough, but no baked good is off-limits now that she honed her skills, and she enjoys making everything from cinnamon rolls and donuts to focaccia and banana bread.
