Artist Re-imagines “Good Movies as Old Books”

Artist Matt Stevens is a big movie fan and happens to also like reading books. So he came up with the idea to combine these two passions into an intriguing project “Good Movies As Old Books.”

As part of the project, Stevens re-imagines the movie he likes as a cover of an old book. So far he worked through more than 100 movie titles.

Although this started as a creative exercise for the talented designer and illustrator, he quickly captured the attention of social media users, and the project now proudly stands among his most recognizable works.

“After doing a few entries the project took on a life of its own and I became excited about continuing to explore new ideas and reinterpret movies from my life that I have a deep affection for,” Stevens said about his project.

Steven also created a Kickstarter campaign to print these covers and received overwhelming support. He already surpassed the $30,000 goal with 831 backers pledging $57,055 to his project.
