Artist Parodies Today’s Generation With Slothful Animal Illustrations

Let’s just say that today’s generation has things much easier than ever before.

Are today’s people lazier? Maybe. Maybe not. We can’t say for sure, seeing that modern conveniences (and inconveniences) are far too different from what people had decades ago.

There is, however, an argument to be made that this generation is lazy.

From being able to access everything they need, from food to media, with a few taps of their fingers, to being able to work at home, the struggles of today’s generation are far from the same struggles of the yesteryears.

Seeing this as his inspiration, Guodong Zhao, a digital illustrator based in Beijing, China, decided to create Lazy Things, which parodies today’s lazy generation by showing animals sitting comfortably while either playing video games or watching a show.

Outside of the creativity needed to come up with something like this, Zhao’s talent and eye for detail can’t be denied as well.
