Artist Makes Clothes and Shoes Using Recycled Everyday Items

Nicole McLaughlin is an artist and former Reebok employee who enjoys spending time making clothes and shoes from bags of snacks and other household items. Her goal is to creatively explore the idea of recycling and making something out of nothing.

McLaughlin is a big fan of being eco-friendly in our fashion habits. “I would go to thrift stores and try to find something that I could make something new out of,” she told WWD. With her artistic projects, she invites everyone to think about how they can use things they already have at home before going out to buy something new.
