Artist Makes Beautiful Edible Designs

Edbar Artis is an Armenian artist, a fashion designer student whose clothing designs are often good enough to eat. From honeycomb, spaghetti, to pomegranate and chocolate his creations brought him over 783k followers on Instagram profile.

Artis often uses non-edible things to create his clothing designs as well; toothpaste, vegetables, candles, matches and feathers are just some of the material he uses in his work.

Wrinkles of life Illustration made with raisins. All we do at the young age is what we will have when we are old, our experience is our future memory. Try to do crazy things! Have adventurous life! Fall in love! Go crazy! Be happy! Laugh as hard as you can! Life is very short! All those raisins inspired and scared me at the same time, cause they reminded me of wrinkles… each of them represent one experience = one memory. They will turn into wrinkled happy memories that will put smile on our faces when we are old. I am very scared of getting old, i feel like I don’t have enough time to fulfill my huge dreams. Maybe i made this illustration because i wanted to show myself that it’s not scary, that it will be ok… I wish you all a happy life! Laughter! An d love!

The Sushi Lady Photo by @t_epic_world So many people asked me to post this and tell the story behind it. Ok i will tell you the true story. This was a project made for a restaurant to be as a menu cover. We worked so many hours on it trying to capture the perfect photo and trying to make it great but the director rejected this illustration, he didn’t like it and I considered this as a failure. But i decided to post it because you know it happens especially in fashion and show business, you get rejected a lot but it doesn’t mean you are a failure and it doesn’t mean you shouldn’t continue. When you fail you should continue even harder i guess that’s a key to a success. You should never feel bad about yourself if you fail that’s your experience that will make you even greater….

Sweetness I remember making this illustration i asked my grandfather to bring me some honeycomb because he was keeping bees and he was very passionate about it, he brought me this piece so that i could make my illustration.. He passed away yesterday and i am sad i didn’t have the chance to say goodbye to him and to say that i love him a lot. Few days ago talked to him and the last thing he said after talking was “Au Revoir Edgar” i didn’t imagine it would happen so fast and these would be the last words.. He was the kindest, not a grumpy grandpa but so kind always smiling… Thanks for listening to me when i was talking about my feelings. Thanks for not being judgmental and for accepting us the way we are. I am blessed that i had you as my grandfather! You will always stay in my heart! You left me so many good memories! I will always remember you with your smile! Rest In Peace Grandpa. I love you so much! 💔

“My white spirit” Dress made out of rice. I want to tell you something through this art… Learn to love yourself the way you are but also don’t stop improving yourself. When you learn to love yourself you don’t care about others opinions. You don’t need others approval on your beauty. Don’t wait for someone to encourage you. Always remember that you are strong and you can do anything and no one can stop or break your motivation. Some people like to see you lose your confidence because that makes them feel better about themselves and it makes them more confident, it’s just because they are stupid and they worth nothing..
