Like the rest of the desserts in her extensive portfolio, these cakes require incredible attention to detail. It takes her about two hours to decorate each one, and she uses a meticulous piping technique to accomplish this goal.
Jones-Mann always adored the design of ‘60s and ‘70s, and inspiration from her signature cakes came from a very unusual place. Retro shag rugs won her over with their fuzzy texture, and she couldn’t resist but try to recreate it in cake form.
The final result was truly incredible, and each of her shag rug cakes allowed her to try something different and grow as an artist. She uses different colors and patterns with all her cakes, so they’re all one of a kind.
