Jacoba Niepoort is an artist from Copenhagen, Denmark, who loves working with a permanent ball-point pen on paper, reflecting on everyday themes of human relationships and hardships.
“The images speak for themselves: a visual book documents the process of growing together and breaking apart – something almost everyone can relate to, yet which can seem so brutally unique in the moment,” the artist shared. “I visualize and use colored strings to tie people, emotions, and histories together. In this way, a continuous line in permanent ink, every mark, and imperfection becomes a part of the final artwork.”
Niepoort is also into street art; she loves painting giant murals, which communicate human emotions and interactions.
