The Driving Force In Hsinping Pan’s Illustrations Is Humor

We can’t help but smile when scrolling through Hsinping Pan’s Instagram page. The Taiwan-based animator and illustrator aims to bring joy to others. Her target audience? Mainly children. With clients that include Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, and Disney, her illustrations can be seen in commercials, movies, and music videos, as well as magazines, book covers, and children’s books.

And when it comes to Pan’s creativity, it is embedded in her childhood. “I’ve loved drawing ever since I can remember, but I didn’t think about becoming an artist until I went to college for business,” she shared in an interview with Vivi Studio. “I was really frustrated and confused by my classes and found my true passion for creating things. Now I really appreciate that I initially studied business because it helped me make up my mind to become an artist!”

“I like to draw colorful things and sometimes make stories for them,” she explained. “I found art is the best way to express myself and connect with the world.” Follow her work for that spoonful of sugar effect:
