]]>Before turning to fruit carving, Boraliev worked as a chef at a small restaurant but didn’t find his job fulfilling. He was working with the most awful boss that he ever had and turned to fruit carving while looking for a way to relax from his stressful job.
Boraliev discovered this new hobby had a calming effect on him and eased his nerves, and eventually decided to leave his job. Six months later, he became a food carving decorator at a prestigious hotel in Golden Sands, Bulgaria, and he hasn’t looked back ever since.
“Around 9 years ago, I have immersed myself in this endless art. I have participated in many projects and I’m always open to new ideas and collaborations… I carve fruits, vegetables, and soaps into real sculptures – from animals and flowers to different objects from everyday life,” the artist told Bored Panda.
From pumpkins and watermelons to avocados and apples, no fruit is off limits for this talented fruit carver, so head to his Instagram page to discover more of his creations.

]]>Artist Takehiro Kishimoto has taken up the challenge. He carves intricate designs into fruits such as apples, strawberries, oranges, pawpaw, and even some veggies. The designs are mostly flowerlike and take a long while to complete.
In one video, the artist is seen “operating on a grape”, as he captioned it. The outer skin had been carved out already, and the inner skin was being carved. He then pokes the outer part. When it is removed, you can clearly see the pattern form and it is really beautiful.
