Collaborating with top tier brands like Chanel, Prada, Desigual, Puma, Bombay Sapphire, and Nespresso, her personal work has also been exhibited around the world, in places like Paris, Brussels, and Barcelona.

But it’s her latest series, titled Faceless, that really caught our attention. Using acrylic on canvas, Dávez paints popular culture icons without their face, showing instead their recognizable characteristics such as their hairstyle, clothes, and accessories.

In true pop-art fashion, her faceless paintings include icons such as Amy Winehouse, Iris Apfel, Frida Kahlo, Pablo Picasso, and David Bowie. “This collection is a tribute to all my idols, characters that have somehow marked me throughout my life,” she explained in an interview with Find and Seek.

As for the artistic process itself, she explains that the most difficult thing for her is finding an idea to work with. “Once you have the idea the next step in the process is sketching, then trying different materials and color combinations; I make collages to get an idea of how it will be exposed in a real space,” she says. “Once I convince myself it all works then I begin the final piece.”
