Vernessa Himmler, an illustrator and sand artist from Hamburg, Germany, has worked as a freelance illustrator for almost six years. Her recent project revolves around the life of a cat owner and it’s fresh and fun.
Two years ago, Vernessa started drawing cat comics, not knowing exactly where she will end up. Her inspiration came from two shelter cats she adopted, Koschka and Mikosch. And despite most of her comics insinuate that life with cats is not an easy one, she still says they are wonderful pets.
“My favorite thing about cats is the moment when they want your attention (for a cuddle or something else), it makes you extremely happy when they chose to come to you on their own!” says Vernessa.
