Artist Covers His Portraits with Thick Layers of Paint

Los Angeles based artist and actor, Joseph Lee, brings paintings to life using vivid colors that are the meaning of eye-popping.

Lee’s artworks are characterized with thick brushstrokes made on already well-painted portraits. His thick brushstrokes are usually used to cover the faces of his portraits, making for an eerie effect.

But despite the fact that their facial expressions are covered with these brushstrokes, the images still find a way of expressing their emotions.
