Couples have different ways of showing their love for each other. Some use gifts, others use words, and one adorable Japanese couple is using fashion.
Mr. Bon and Mrs. Pon are a trendy pair in their sixties who enjoy wearing matching outfits. Wherever they go, the couple—that has been married for more than 40 years—makes sure that their clothes have the same or similar patterns and color.
The couple originally started doing this as a joke. As they grew older, they both had similarly gray hair, so they figured they could also match in fashion sense and coordinate their outfits. Their daughter was quite amused by this, so she took a photo of them and posted it on her Instagram account.
The photo ended up receiving overwhelmingly positive reactions, so she suggested her parents to make their own account and share their matching looks there. Mr. Bon and Mrs. Pon decided to give it a shot, which turned out to be a great decision.
It didn’t take long before the couple became fashion icons on this social media, and so far, they have amassed more than 800k followers on this social media.
According to Mr. Bon, the secret of their success is that they like similar things and have similar fashion styles.
“We decide based on how we feel each day,” he shared in an interview with BuzzFeed. “We like monotones, red and blue, so inevitably we decide on colors we both like.”
