]]> Many decades ago, sculptures used wood, stones, bronze, ceramic, marble, and metal to create their masterpieces. But these days, artists create art out of everything imaginable.

The images displayed here show the works of a fruit sculptor named Valeriano Fatica. The Italian-based artist carves out images from fruits. His pieces are beautifully carved out from their source materials, many of which are from watermelon.

It’s surprising to see the varieties of sculptures that can be carved out of the fruit we eat. Examining one of his works, we can see what looks like Santa Claus. This Santa Claus sculpture looks really beautiful, with its white beard and mustache. From the video, we can see that this was carved from a watermelon and without the use of any special effects.
