The post Trevor Carlee is Using LEGO to Recreate Iconic Movie & TV Scenes appeared first on 5dwallpaper.com.
]]>Carlee is a talented multimedia artist, who mostly focuses on 3D animation these days. He came up with a creative way to improve his skills as an animator outside of industry restrictions or constraints when he decided to make LEGO an essential part of his artistic process.
He usually designs textures, torsos, and faces of his LEGO characters in Photoshop and Procreate before animating them with Blender. Animating with LEGO is a time-consuming process, but it’s proven to be a great testing ground for real animation because the stiffness of characters leaves less room for mistakes.
Completing a single video can take between a day to a week, depending on how long and complex the scene is. When it comes to choosing the scenes he’s going to work on, it comes down to what he’s in the mood for and how much time he has at his disposal.
Despite getting many requests, Carlee tries to focus on his favorite TV shows and movies to avoid burnout, ranging from Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Brooklyn Nine-Nine to New Girl and Parks and Recreation.
