]]>The limited collection consists of six consoles, with each one being based on a particular car from Porsche’s history. The consoles also come with matching controllers.
The list includes the Porsche 911 GT1 and the Porsche Salzburg, which both won the 24 Hours of Le Mans race, the Porsche Hippie, the Porsche Pink Pig, the Porsche Racing Edition, and the Porsche 75th, which is based on the classic 963 model.
“Many people who end up being our most dedicated fans had their first encounter with Porsche through gaming. That’s why it plays a key role for us to stay relevant not just among current fans but among new generations, showcasing in the most awesome and engaging way what our brand has to offer,” said Robert Ader, Vice President of Global Marketing at Porsche AG, in a statement.
Unfortunately, this cool collaboration between Porsche and Xbox won’t be available in retail. Instead, the fans will be able to enter a series of sweepstakes, which will be organized over the next four months, and have a chance to own one of these consoles.

]]>The Porsche will be displayed at the RM Sotheby’s Monterey auction that will happen from August 15 to August 17. In the period between 1939 and 40, Ferdinand Porsche built three vehicles of this type, but this is the only one left.
“We’ve had the honor of presenting some of the most significant cars in the history of numerous top marques at Monterey, and the Type 64 now stands among them,” says the press statement of Gord Duff from Sotheby’s. “The Type 64 helped define what a sports car is today, and it carries many of traits we’ve seen throughout seven decades of Porsche production and still see in some of the marque’s most sought-after contemporary models.”
