Swee started his signature Cat Landscape series after deciding to give minimal landscape art a shot. While exploring the curves and shapes of the land, he came to a conclusion they are strangely similar to the curve and shape of the cat and the idea for this project was born.

The Kuala Lumpur-based artist now blends cats with all kinds of different landscapes and often creates playful optical illusions along the way. His cats can often be found napping on the mountain tops, jumping through waves, reaching for the sky, and immersing with nature in all sorts of other ways.

Lim Heng Swee imagines the world where you can find kitties everywhere you go, which is not unlike our own – especially if you’re a cat lover who enjoys being surrounded by feline companions on every turn.

In another series, Heng Swee imagined how Star Wars characters would look if they were under the weather. “The Star Bored series of illustrations shows that everyone has their own down time,” he shared on Bored Panda. “But don’t worry, all you have to do is lay down and have a rest, the force will be with you again in no time.”
