]]>“I rummaged around my apartment for some old colored pencils and markers and purchased a small $10 sketchbook,” the artist shared on Bored Panda. “I excitingly drew 10 little doodles I had thought up out of the excitement of starting a new project. I snapped some very bad pictures of them in some very bad light, and voila: uploaded them to my new Instagram account Decade2Doodles.”
Steph had been posting doodles anonymously for a year when she decided to introduce herself to the world.
“Decade2Doodles taught me that you don’t have to be perfect to start something or be understood,” she added. “It’s also taught me that change can be exciting, no matter which stage it’s at – whether it’s the decision to start a project or the decision to switch it up! I recently went digital with my drawings, which has been a fun change of pace and makes me feel like I’m still learning and growing as an artist.”

]]>The French artist’s favorite characters come from famous TV shows, such as The Simpsons, SpongeBob SquarePants, and Rick and Morty.
“I have always been fascinated by the world of comics and I liked to train to reproduce again and again characters such as the iconic Smurfs and Gaston Lagaffe,” the artist said in an interview (translated from French). “During my adolescence, I neglected this passion to focus on my studies. Fifteen years later, the passion and desire to create were again devouring; thanks to Instagram!”

]]>As the artist says, “It’s a long and ongoing process coming up with the 3D drawings. I have been making so many drawing on flat paper my whole life and one day a few years ago I just started to experiment with the paper to see if could add another dimension to it. The idea is to make it very simple only using A4 size paper and a pen. No scissors or glue. I want everybody to join in and also try to 3D drawings at the kitchen table.”
