]]> Industrial designer Dina Amin created a video showing how throwing out consumer products generates much more waste than you may think. Her stop-motion video published on February 9th is “a compilation of all the thrown away products I took apart for the guessing game series I did with ifixit on Instagram,” she writes next to the video.

Amin wrote on her website that she usually picks a random product on Fridays, disassembles it, and makes a stop-motion video showing all of its parts. That way, she shows us that we’re not just throwing out one thing, we’re throwing out dozens of smaller parts each time we decide something is going to trash.
