]]> From Bratsk, Russia comes illustrator and digital artist Anton Semenov, whose images deserve close inspection. His painting style is very unique, where white, lifeless bodies, like worms, spread through the post-apocalyptic, post nuclear space, likely inspired by the Chernobyl nuclear catastrophe. His technique is utterly flawless and beautiful, rich in detail and texture. 

His dark, macabre, and surreal articulate our inner nightmares. Semenov has a very unique style but you can sense the heritage of H.R. Giger’s alien paintings and sculptures, Philip K. Dick’s disturbing science fiction, and H.P. Lovecraft’s genetic horrors. 
 
Navigating between darkness and neutral tones, Semenov’s digital images lead the viewer to navigate along spooky corridors, inhabited by monstrous creatures and pallid over-sized children. His human characters, with their links to childhood and tales, remind us also of the work of illustrator Stefan Zsaitsits and filmmaker Tim Burton.
