]]>“What started out as a part time hobby quickly grew into a full-time business,” the artist shared on her personal website. Nowadays, Cech has over 150 pet paintings in her portfolio.
“Let’s face it, the vast majority of the photos we have of our beloved fur babies are going to be from our phones,” Cech shared with Bored Panda. “Since this format doesn’t always yield the highest quality image, it can be frustrating to find out that your favorite pictures are too blurry, too dark, or in less than ideal scenery. This is where I can come in and get a bit creative.”
With her hand-drawn pet portraits she tries to make the painting perfect; she cleans up the image, brings in any lost details, and sometimes she needs to change up the whole scene so she can get the perfect composition.

]]>Back in 2011, while she was still a student in art school, Alexandra started painting dogs as a hobby. After graduation, she started receiving more and more commissions and very soon her hobby turned into a full-time job.
The artist is now lucky to say that she’s painted more than 150 pet paintings so far and all of her customers are more than happy with her work.
“I’ve been painting pets almost exclusively for a few years now, and one of my favorite things to see is the final painting side by side with its subject. Since I work from photographs, I rarely get to meet the pet that I’m painting, but seeing them with their portrait is definitely the next best thing,” Cech shared with Bored Panda.
