Artist Photographs People Around the World To Overcome His Social Anxiety

David Tesinsky has been traveling the world and photographing people for over a decade now. He began his artistic journey with one goal in mind: to overcome his social phobia and fear of flying.

Jump forward a couple of years later and Tesinsky has checked off around 60 countries from his list. He is currently in Donbas, Ukraine, photographing women soldiers.

“I’ve been staying in the war-zone in Donbas in Ukraine photographing women soldiers that are currently fighting Russia,” the photographer wrote shared with Bored Panda. “I’ve played guitar in the open air to the whole slum with a full audience in Osaka, Japan, it was Karma Police from Radiohead.”

He has been also teaching photojournalism class at the Prague College for one semester and had even visited a jail in Ukraine and photographed murderers convicted for life.
