Photographer Captured Chicago’s Coldest Day

Kevin Cöllen is a German photographer based in the Hague, Netherlands who travels the world and takes cityscape, landscape, and beachscape photographs.

At the end of January, he was staying in Chicago during the Polar Vortex where the temperature got to -29°C and took stunningly beautiful photos along the lakefront.

“At the end of January, Chicago experienced the coldest day in over three decades and it was a very surreal experience I tried to capture in pictures,” the photographer shared on Bored Panda. “My current project which is called #thebeautythehague is capturing the beauty of the city of peace and justice.”
