Dito Von Tease is an artist who often creates artwork projects like Thumbtastic, a project where he recreates pop-culture characters as finger-portraits and IDollz, a project where he recreates famous people as dolls. The one we wanted to share with you today is his project Classicool, in which he reconstructs classical paintings to look like the subjects are taking selfies.

“The classic works, some of the most famous self-portraits and portraits in the world, come back to life within a digital ecosystem as social networks,” the artist writes on his website.

“Classicool is an iconoclastic project that blends together two apparently heterogeneous aesthetics, creating an ironic and surprising result.”
