Genesis Belanger embraces humor to transform ordinary objects into works of art. Her surreal art is all the rage. “It’s easy to find art in the object, that touches some dark discord,” she says, “but I think it’s possible to make work that is relevant and beautiful.”
Belanger has studied fashion design at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. During her studies, she was building ad campaign props in Manhattan.
