Christina Kunanets’ Paintings Look Like Real Food

Christina Kunanets is a Ukrainian artist who creates some of the most appetizing meals on the internet. Unfortunately, her food is not real, but that just makes us appreciate her work even more.

Kunanets is famous for her food paintings that look just like the real thing. Her artworks show all sorts of mouth-watering meals like cheese-covered bagels, blueberry pies, cinnamon rolls, and seafood resting on antique plates and inviting you to take a bite.

Kunanets uses various techniques in order to achieve a realistic look for her artworks. For example, she adds thick layers of paint to mimic the spread on the bread or uses a piping bag to apply the icing on cakes.

According to Kunanets, the reason she chooses to paint food isn’t only because it looks good but also because it spreads positive feelings.

“I’m highly convinced that art should carry only beauty and love,” the artist explains in her bio at the art marketplace Saatchi Art. “Everything created by human hands is full of love; each detail is just perfect. Moreover, if something is created with pleasure – it is filled only with positive content.”

Kunanets shares her works on social media and also gives her followers an insight into the process of making them. Continue scrolling to see more.
