Astro-Photographer Captures Mind Bending Photos of the Aurora

If you’ve ever seen a decent display of the Aurora, you’ll know it covers the sky during a geomagnetic storm. Bright bands and colorful pillars dance all over and the sky. To catch the beauty of the moment, it is best to lie on the ground.

All auroras are amazing but one, in particular, is known to be truly awe-inspiring – the Corona. The pillars appear to converge above into the zenith because of the 3D perspective caused by the globe effect.

Adrien Mauduit, an astrophotographer and cinematographer, captures this beautiful phenomenon. He resides in Senja, Norway and has worked with NASA in the past. He posts his work to his Instagram page and has amassed quite a number of fans from around the world.
